Meena Dasgupta was trained as a Broadcaster at the famous British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) headquarters in London, England UK. She anchored the "National News" on Pakistan Television & Radio networks for 9 years from Islamabad. Her popular broadcasts in English reached people across the Indian Sub Continent one of the Worlds most important regions. She was named the "Top National TV Anchorwoman of Pakistan". Meena has nine years of On Air Television and Radio experience in the United States. She worked as a Director for Training for Fairfax Public Access and was recognized as a leader in her community, building community, supporting diversity and connecting people. She Aired her weekly historic-geographic ethnic music Radio Internet program on the " Poets of the Old World. One of the many reasons why Meena attempted to create this hour on Community Internet Radio independently was due to the fact that my listeners could travel with me and see through the lens of different cultures in many stunning ways. In addition she produced, directed, hosted, and edited her annual TV program " CLASSICS & TRADITIONS WITH MEENA JI"
In addition she enjoyed volunteering as a Camera woman and as a Video & Audio Editor. She is a proud AMERICAN CITIZEN!.

3)Was selected for Master of Ceremony for a stage Program " Musical Pakistan" showcasing prominent artists from Pakistan at the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Summit (SAARC) in Dhaka Bangladesh.
Since the beginning of time, people have told stories. The first story-tellers used their voices, body movements, and musical instruments make their stories interesting and believable. Then the story-tellers could only share their stories with a few people.

Meena was chosen as one of the Story-tellers. She chose a Painting from the Exhibit and Thread by Thread wove & wrote, choreographed and narrated extempore a 45 min story which had many stories woven into on. An Oral Traditional Interpretation of the 15th Century Paintings "Hamzanama"

Meena was always fascinated with nature and its bursts of colors. Her hidden talents and her passion for drawing and painting made her determined to continue learning as she moved from one phase of her life to another. She has recently completed a painting a Bengal Tiger for her 10 years old grand daughter Mischa Parvaiz.Currently I have completed 2 PENCIL sketches...A mother Elephant with her Baby elephant and an Indian Woman's face DRAPED WITH A SHAWL. I do base my sketches on photographs. Meena really admires artists who can draw from imagination.
My favorite artists are Claude Monet, Michaelangelo , and her very top favorite is Artist and intellectual from Pakistan Abdur Rahman Chugtai. Meena is drawn towards Mughal Art of his style.
DANCE:
Born in a Bengali family Meena's environment was enveloped with ART, DANCE & MUSIC. Her love for ART & DANCE began in Rabindranath Tagore's school "Shantneketan" Kolkata, India.
